Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is proudly made in the United States. Southwest Greens, part of Shaw Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway company, and all fibers are made and processed in American Shaw plants. Advanced equipment and Lean/Six Sigma systems drive precision and durability to achieve industry-leading performance standards. When you plan to install artificial turf with Southwest Greens, you can trust that you’re installing long-lasting, American-made grass.

American Manufacturing: We manufacture through Shaw’s facilities, including our Dalton, GA plant. Shaw’s technology investments ensure fiber uniformity and premium quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, we control each stage of turf creation. That helps us deliver consistent fiber quality and uniform color and pile height across batches, rapid support for warranty concerns, and detailed traceability for faster issue resolution.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf reaches you, it’s proven in Shaw’s labs and fields. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to emulate years of weather and play. We evaluate turf blades for color, endurance, and realistic performance, so your lawn or putting green looks and performs like real grass without wilting or fading.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We regularly enhance our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest developments include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: This proprietary Bolt fiber features a patented lightning-bolt shape. It resists flattening and recovers quickly, out-performing wear standards by over 2x. Its curved structure prevents glossiness, giving the grass a realistic, non-glossy look.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer cooling infill that reduces turf temperatures by 30–50°F. This simple water-activated technology is great for sun-baked yards or putting greens, keeping feet and paws comfortable even in summer’s heat.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are designed for rapid waste removal and odor resistance. Your dog won’t dig up holes or drag mud into the house anymore. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste prevents odor buildup and dead patches.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to match your brand, mascot, or personality? Our Creaturf™ program lets you personalize turf with logos, patterns, or custom colors. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to eye-catching pet turf, this system provides total visual customization.

PERSONALIZED TO YOU

We listen closely to customers, golf pros, and designers to ensure our artificial turf meets real needs. Feedback from golfers inspired us to develop a realistic “spring green” color that matches natural grass perfectly. Little details like this have made our products the top choice by Fresno pro players, homeowners, and landscape architects alike.

We also offer specialized systems for every application — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Proper installation is an art. Our synthetic turf behave like pro golf surfaces. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because we’re supported by Shaw’s industry-leading portfolio, we can adjust fibers, infill, or pile height to your specs.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Big advancements are coming in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf revealed that fans will help to decide new field designs and that a patented “Game ON” synthetic turf (made in Calhoun, GA) will launch in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t give away every secret, but know for certain, our R&D team is developing the next generation of artificial grass.

New releases will be inspired by customer feedback and cutting-edge research, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
